Find out more below.
Facebook is currently testing a new app that will support video chats for up to eight people at a time. The app is called Bonfire, and it’s currently only available for download in Denmark. Users can invite others to join a chat through Facebook Messenger, whether they have the app or not, and the group video chat can be experienced without ever leaving the Messenger app.
Instagram has announced that Facebook’s Canvas format will now be available for ad placements in Instagram Stories. This update will enable business to advertise in more creative and engaging ways than a simple photo or video. The Canvas format allows full-screen advertising and interactive elements within the ad.
Bitmojis have entered the real world with Snapchat’s newest feature. 3D renditions of users’ own personal Bitmoji can now be placed in a picture or video using augmented reality through Snapchat’s World Lens. Animations of the Bitmoji skateboarding, doing yoga, and other activities have also been added as well.
